About

I'm a commercial startup founder with experience scaling teams, product, sales, marketing and operations to multi-million revenues.

I'm an optimist who enjoys working with others, establishing partnerships, and building relationships to tackle huge challenges.

I like to go all-in on whatever I’m working on. I think I do my most impactful work when I’m focused on something for years rather than months and can make a genuine difference.

I’m currently exploring new opportunities to do that in carbon removal. It’s a vital industry to combat the climate crisis and building it will be one of the great tasks of our generation.

I’m having conversations to explore how I can best contribute to this effort. I’m interested in what I can do to get more removal projects off the ground and more carbon out of the atmosphere.

Highlights of my career so far.

I founded Kommon to give first-time people managers the right support. We built a SaaS app of manager tools, an acclaimed training course, and a manager guide that reached thousands of users. We closed the company in 2023 and sold the training practice to Unicorn Labs.

We built a suite of tools to make it easier to be a modern manager. We helped managers and their teams plan career development goals, hold good 1:1 meetings, gather feedback, and build better relationships.

New Manager Playbook

We used the insights building our software to create the New Manager Playbook. This practical guide to modern management training became the foundation of our acclaimed management training course.

Moved to Cape Town to build a new regional office from scratch. Grew the business to 20 employees and over £1.5m of work delivered in two years.

Global Security Insight

Product manager for the entire design and build of a new risk intelligence platform for a global insurance company and hundreds of their clients (incl. Fortune 500).

Ethical Hacking

Senior leadership role in the development of a new offensive security service line, including all product design, sales, and marketing.

OttawaGigs.ca

I love going to see live music and there wasn't a good aggregator for gig listings in the city I live in, so I built one - ottawagigs.ca.

This led to me being credited on the internet as a 'dude who just really likes music.' Probably the thing I'm most proud of so far.

I and four others who are working in climate struggled to find a community of like-minded people in our city... so we built one.

Climate Leap brings together climate enthusiasts every month in Ottawa to share ideas and promote solutions to the climate crisis.
